So why the name The Thieving Bear? Well it just so happens that we have this gigantic black bear that comes into our yard and steals just about everything he can including, most recently, two of our beloved hens. While I realize that is NOT funny, I do try to find the humor in just about anything. Sometimes I have to laugh. If I don’t I’ll cry! I can say though, that I relate to that big ole’ bear when I walk out of Walmart with $1.25 in my pocket (that they’ve paid me) after buying 6 things….
Now a little about me…. My name is Brett, I live in RURAL central NH and border about 1600 acres of tree farm and woods, that I DO NOT own, so needless to say, we fall asleep to coyotes screaming just about every night, moose peeking in our windows every morning and bears… well, you already know that story! We have a few teenagers, a couple of babies, three dogs and some hens. Our life is happily chaotic, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. This site is dedicated to helping you save money and helping you laugh along the way…
